Enhanced Ability to Identify Minute Structures, Ensuring Precise Visualization of Each Red Blood Cell
According to the principles of optical physics, resolution (r) is defined as λ / (2NA). With a fixed numerical aperture (NA), a shorter wavelength (λ) results in a smaller resolution value (r), thereby enabling superior visualization of minute structures such as individual red blood cells.
The V260 is the first sublingual microcirculation imaging system in China to adopt blue-light imaging. Compared with conventional green-light imaging, it achieves nanometer-level resolution, thereby enabling sharper and more precise visualization of individual red blood cells.
Higher Image Contrast and Clarity, Facilitating More Precise and Reliable Assessments
Hemoglobin absorption peaks at 415 nm (blue-light). Thus, V260 achieves high-contrast, crystal-clear images, enabling precise bedside assessment of sublingual microcirculation and tissue perfusion.
Detecting More Microvessels and Enabling Comprehensive Red Blood Cell Flow Assessment
With equal observation areas, blue-light (415 nm) reveals significantly more microvessels compared to green-light (520 nm), allowing for improved evaluation of RBC flow (TVD: 24.8±3.1 vs. 20.0±3.0, P<0.0001).
Higher Image Quality Acceptance and Scoring
Based on the Microcir-culatory image quality scoring (MIQS) developed by Professor Massey, the acceptability of blue-light (415 nm) imaging quality is 1.5 times higher than that of green-light (520 nm) (P < 0.001).
Superior Optical Resolution
Visualizes red blood cells and intercellular spaces with exceptional clarity.
While maintaining a slim probe diameter and incorporating a high-resolution camera, the V260 achieves an optical resolution below 1 um, thereby enabling clear visualization of red blood cells and intercellular spaces.
Extra-Large Field of View
Reduces heterogeneity in the observed field, thereby enabling more comprehensive analysis of microcirculatory regions.
Combining ultra-high optical resolution with 4X magnification yields an expanded effective observation area, enabling more comprehensive microcirculatory assessment.
Extreme Motion Capture
Eliminates red blood cell (RBC) motion artifacts, even under high-dynamic conditions.
The field of view is illuminated by a surrounding ring of ten LED light sources using incident-angle strobe lighting, ensuring sufficient and uniform imaging brightness. With a strobe duration of less than 1 millisecond and a recording frame rate of 60 fps, red blood cell (RBC) motion artifacts are effectively eliminated.
One-Button Recording
Effortless image acquisition by a single operatorThe handle integrates a one-button start/stop recording function, enabling smooth single-hand operation without the need for additional keyboard or touchscreen input, thereby facilitating effortless single-operator image acquisition.
The "Gatekeeper" of Vascular Endothelium
The endothelial glycocalyx functions as a protective barrier, often described as the "gatekeeper" of vascular integrity. It is composed primarily of proteoglycans (notably members of the syndecan family) and associated protein polymers.
The endothelial glycocalyx plays a pivotal role in regulating vascular permeability, maintaining colloid osmotic pressure, modulating intravascular albumin adhesion and flow, controlling vascular tone, and suppressing intravascular coagulation.
Damage to the endothelial glycocalyx results in increased vascular permeability, aggravated inflammation, coagulation abnormalities, and altered vascular tone. Degradation of its core components, such as syndecan-1, leads to their release into the systemic circulation.
Syndecan-1 is a pivotal biomarker of glycocalyx degradation and an established research focus in sepsis.
Patients with sepsis or septic shock may experience glycocalyx degradation, manifested as an increased Perfusion Boundary Region (PBR).
The V260 sublingual microcirculation imaging system integrates the PBR algorithm, enabling rapid bedside assessment of endothelial injury.
